I photographed each child before having their face painted and then again after. As Vee Spears was my main source of inspiration i tried to photograph the children in a similar style, taking portraits from the knee up. As i was at home i did struggle with space for doing this, due to where i had to position the lighting, and that i was using a prime len of 50mm too.
During the test shoot i also wanted to experiment with other angle too, seeing which brought more to the image and overall personality of the children, another reason for doing this was to see if my concept would work.
Below is the contact sheet of a selection of unedited images.

Again the images below are unedited, but are what i thought were the best from the shoot, inrelation to various compositions and seeing the childrens personalitys.
BEFORE

AFTER

From the images above i feel that the close ups shots are stronger, but in response to my concept the 3/4 length shoots are definitely stronger in that they show of more of the child's personality and how they changed once their faces had been painted.
Below is an example of how i plan on displaying my final images, with the before and after shot. From doing this i also realised that it was important to use a shot which was composed the same.
